A bone marrow registry drive is being held at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay on Saturday, October 24th.
The drive is being organized by Tasting Room server, Nate Taylor, whose father, Charlie, has lymphatic leukemia. Charlie Taylor has been looking for a compatible donor since summer. The chances are better the more donors there are in the registry.
Saturday’s drive seeks to add more people to the registry. Participants have to be between the ages of 18 and 60. A simple cheek swab is all that’s needed; no needles. Organizers will send in the proper paperwork and take care of associated costs.
