Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award

Black Star Farms management has successfully created a workplace that does more than just improve productivity; it has also built a strong organizational culture that supports the company itself. The recently awarded Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award is designed to recognize organizations for their efforts to foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance.

Don Coe with Dr. Terry BraciszewskiPsychologically Healthy Workplace Awards have been presented to organizations by state, provincial and territorial psychological associations with support from the American Psychological Association. The award program highlights a variety of workplaces, large and small, profit and non-profit, in diverse geographical settings. Applicants are evaluated on their efforts in these five areas: employee involvement work-life balance, employee growth, health and safety, and employee recognition. The state-level award program has been extremely successful, with participation growing to 51 associations across the U.S. and Canada. Collectively, more than more than 350 organizations have been recognized at the state level.
