The Hearth & Vine, is a cozy restaurant with a wine and spirits bar nestled into the Black Star Farms estate between the stable and the hoop house. Wine and spirits from Black Star Farms and Grand Traverse Distillery are available for sampling along with specialty cocktails. The one-of-a-kind wood-fired menu offerings are sure to delight your culinary senses (please note the menu is subject to change due to availability of seasonal items).
Executive Chef Jonathan Dayton’s philosophy on providing fresh foods from local sources is the premise behind the rotating menu offerings. The menu changes according to what ingredients are seasonally available from our property or local area farms. Some of these dishes include gourmet wood-fired pizzas, delicious soups, salads and sandwiches. Specialty sodas, locally roasted coffee and tea are also served.
Seating is available inside or on the patio for those wishing to soak up the sun and surrounding beauty of the farm. The restaurant is also a great venue for rehersal dinners and special events as well as large groups looking for dining options while touring the Leelanau Peninsula wine trail. Take out options are available for individuals on the go while traveling the wine trail or simply stopping in to pick up lunch. There’s an assortment of sandwich choices and other picnic items on the menu or in the “foodie” retail gift area. House-made granola, scones, cookies, jams and jellies will also be for sale.
