The colorful impressions of noted Michigan artist Noel Skiba are on view – and on sale – in our Farmers Market.
Noel is “committed to producing quality art that captures the spirit of an image. As a colorist, I see beauty in everyday life, a child’s smile, sparkling water, racing cars, or shadows on a building. As a historian, I document a moment. I paint spontaneously on site. Whenever or where the spirit moves me, I am ready.”
Featured in the 2008 Mackinac Living, an insider’s guide to the secret places, special character, and things to see and do on Mackinac Island, Noel can often be found painting on Mackinac or in other scenic spots around Michigan. Black Star Farms has been an inspiration, too You’ll see images of the Inn that Noel painted on site as well as the fruits and vegetables that are on sale in the market…and don’t forget grapes and wine.
Noel is hoping to paint on site again later this year. Watch for upcoming dates.
