This week’s Michigan Wine & Spirits Competition yielded several medals for the Winery at Black Star Farms.
’06 Arcturos Merlot brought one of only eight Double Golds awarded, while ’07 Arcturos Sur Lie Chardonnay and ’06 Leorie Vineyard Merlot/Cabernet Franc each won Gold. Six of our wines took Silver and 6 more took Bronze. For a complete list of the winners check out the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council site.
One of the judges, Joel Goldberg, shared his Free Running Thoughts on the competition in his Mich Wine blog, and Sandra Silfven, another judge, threw in her 2 cents worth in her Detroit News column today.
