![]() Red House RedThis red is a vibrant blend of five different varieties with Cabernet Franc as the main component. Merlot, Pinot Noir, and the French-American varieties-Foch and Regent-have minority roles in the blend, giving this wine a pleasant balance between ripe red fruit and earthy rusticity. This is a perfect table red for anything off the grill and for hearty pastas.![]()
Flavor and Aroma: The ruby color of this wine is striking! It has a solid, medium body and fresh red fruit aromas (raspberry) and an herbaceous bell pepper aspect. There are marked oak flavors including vanilla spice. Aging Potential: This vibrant red will be most enjoyable for the next two to four years. Thoughts for Food: The pizza wine! Any tomato based sauce, cooked or uncooked will be a perfect match to the nice acidity, good texture and fruity character of our house red. Try either a Pasta/Bean salad with a vinegar based dressing or an even richer dish, minestrone soup, to complement this fruity wine. Wine Makers Comments: A favorite in my house, Red House Red, is a vibrant blend of vinifera and hybrid varieties. This wine benefits from the art of blending by our winemaking team. Raspberry and blackberry flavors are complimented by a smoky oak finish.
