2009 Arcturos Pinot Noir Chardonnay
This is a unique 50/50 blend of the two varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Winemaker Lee Lutes was inspired to make a still blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay after enjoying a South African wine of the same style. Often times this blend is used in sparkling wines and this is a new and limited addition to our line up of rose style wines.

Flavor and Aroma:
Barrel fermented in neutral barrels, this blend is a complex wine that presents a classic Chardonnay mouthfeel enhanced by the subtle fruit of the Pinot Noir. Aromas of light oak are complimented by nuances of light berry fruits.
Aging Potential:
Enjoy this wine new or age for two or more years for a broader palate presence.
Thoughts for Food:
Interesting and complex, this wine pairs well with full flavored fish, game birds and pork dishes. We recommend tuna or salmon steaks, roasted chicken or pheasant, as well as, stuffed pork chops.
Wine Makers Comments:
I love this wine! It's like our Pinot Noir Rose, but with more subtle "prettiness" and charm. It drinks like a white wine, but has a slightly broader palate presence for heartier fare too. This is definitely a wine for game birds, as well seasoned chicken, or even more delicate pork dishes. Experiment with this unique blend, and let us know what you think. It's unique to us, and we are going to keep on making it!
